Volcano
The volcano is almost a whimsical thing that many Americans and people around the world don’t think about twice. However, those who live near an active volcano can vouch for the terror or worry that they experience once they hear a rumble from the majestic mass of land.
But, what is a volcano? A volcano is essentially an opening (or rupture) on the planet’s surface. Of which allows magma ash and gases to boil up and escape from below the surface. Giving its name a great deal of truth as the name Volcano comes from the name of a Roman god of fire.
These beautiful masses of land are usually found wherever tectonic plates are found to diverge or converge. However, they can also be found in what are considered hotspots such as Hawaii which is far from any plate boundaries. |
