Technological hazards

       Technological hazards are a concern for many as we approach the year 2012. But, what is a technological hazard exactly? Things such as a nuclear power plant failure are included in this list of technological hazards.
        Unfortunately, not many technological hazards are detected easily. Often times their effects aren’t felt for years later. IE: health problems that are caused by toxic waste that has been hidden for years. Making it hard to prepare for such an event.
         The only way to really prepare for a technological hazard is by knowing your area. Make sure to keep track of your local media and the overall layout of your home town. Where do they dispose of toxic waste? Where is your local power plant? How do they generate the power that they supply? All of which should be looked up within your local area to help you stay safe from technological hazards.
