Disaster checklist

     Having a disaster checklist is the best place to start in your plan of emergency preparedness. From Essential documents, food, water, and medical supplies; these are all things that are important to your survival . While it is possible to create an emergency plan without a disaster checklist, you are more likely to forget one of those much-needed emergency supplies without one.
    Most disaster checklists will be easy to jot down. Simply write everything that you may or may not need during a disaster. Things such as cash enough for two weeks, mortgage or loan papers, birth certificates, id such as your driver’s license or passport, clothing, first aid kits, survival tools, food and water, and power.
    While it is possible to print out a checklist online, you should still try to personalize your disaster checklist. Including any prescription medications that you or your family may need, toys for small children, and food for your pets. Having this information included in your disaster checklist will keep you prepared!
